Automatic Location Update using IPV6 Addressing Format for Next Generation Network

چکیده
In this paper we present a location management protocol using the addressing format of IPV6. The protocol uses a novel end-to-end approach for updating the location which decreases the required signaling of the mobile node in the micromobility domains.

Global Mobile IPv6 Addressing Using Transition Mechanisms
The adoption of the Internet Protocol in mobile and wireless technologies has considerably increased the number of hosts that can potentially access the global Internet. IPv6 is considered the long term solution for the IPv4 address shortage problem, but the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is supposed to be very gradual. Therefore, there will be a long time during which both protocol versions will...

The global telecommunication infrastructure will slowly converge toward an integrated packet switched network using the Internet Protocol as the common communication technology. First evidence of this convergence is the deployment of the third generation wireless infrastructure that brings together the radio access network and core network by using the next generation Internet Protocol IPv6. Th...
متن کاملCovert Channel Using ICMPv6 and IPv6 Addressing
Internet Protocol version 6, the latest revision of the Internet Protocol (IP), is rising in popularity. Along with it has come ample opportunity for the discovery and utilization of fresh, new covert channels. This paper proposes a covert channel using this "IP Next Generation Protocol", widely referred to as IPv6, as well as its associated protocol ICMPv6. As a proof-of-concept, two hosts run...

The actual transition from IPv4 to IPv6 requires network administrators to become aware of the next generation protocol and the associated risk problems.Due to the scale and complexity of current internet architecture how to protect from the existing investment and reduce the negative influence to users and service providers during the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is a very important future top...
متن کاملAuthentication mechanisms in Next-generation Internet Layer mobile and distributed environments
Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), also called the Next Generation Internet Protocol (IPng) is a natural increment to IPv4. IPv4 was never intended for the Internet that we have today, commonly used in mobile and distributed environments, either in terms of customer requirements or security concers. The changes from IPv4 to IPv6 include primarily expanded addressing capabilities, the header fo...
